Wales No: 04058702) was formed in 2000 by Penny Melville-Brown. The
company has extended its services over the years: still specialising
in disability but embracing all aspects of equality and diversity. |

We also undertake pro bono work such as:
Supporting SFEDI in the development of Business Adviser accreditation
standards that include equality and diversity;
Contributing to the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists as
they consider the digital divide faced by disabled entrepreneurs;
Contributing to the former DBERR development of the Business Support Simplification
Programme.
Penny Melville-Brown.
A naval criminal barrister and Commander until the
onset of visual impairment, Penny has been a champion of disability issues,
especially employment, for over 10 years. She leads Disability Dynamics
and a hand-picked team of Associates.
She is an Associate of the Employers' Forum on Disability and worked with
the Office for Disability Issues in creating Equality 2025 - the national
network of disabled people. As a member of, or advisor to, various Boards,
she has advocated employee and customer equality within the Employment
Tribunal System, the National Policing Improvement Agency, Her Majesty's
Revenue and Customs, the Ministry of Defence, University for Industry,
SEEDA and other organisations.
She has extensive experience of benefits having served on
the Department for Work and Pensions Standards Committee. Penny also chaired
the Learning and Skills Council for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Pro-bono work has included chairing organisations committed
to improving employment opportunities for disadvantaged people: Business
Ability (promoting self-employment), the multi-sector Diversity Works
Partnership, a consortium of local authorities and leading a Diversity
Trainers' Forum.
Her publications include booklets on accessible communications,
disability etiquette, accessible event management, an equality employment
handbook, an equality procurement strategy, a job-search manual, various
reports plus an international website showcasing visually impaired people
at work.
Penny was awarded an OBE for her services to disabled
and other disadvantaged people in 2009.
